Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in Co Wicklow.
Gardaí say the body is that of a male around the age of 30.
It was found on the Sally Gap road at Luggala around 5km from Roundwood between 3pm and 4pm this afternoon, around 10 feet in off the road, concealed under ferns.
Gardaí say they do not yet know the cause of death, but are treating the death as suspicious. They say the body was there for some time.
The State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy was at the scene and carried out a preliminary examination but as it became too dark, the scene has now been sealed off and the body is expected to remain in place overnight.
Further technical examination is expected in the morning followed by a post mortem.
Gardaí believe they may know who the victim was, but have not yet got a postive identification and relatives have not been informed.
However they are looking at the possibility that it was somebody whose disappearance they were investigating.
