Gardaí have again appealed for anyone with information on Monday's kidnapping of a family and the subsequent bank raid in Dublin to contact them.

A mother, her two teenage daughters and a 23-year-old son - who is an employee of the bank - were held for more than four hours after being kidnapped at their home.

A gang of more than four people remains at large.

The family were abducted from their home on Seacliff Avenue in Baldoyle and held in separate locations overnight.

The 23-year-old man was driven to the Killester branch of the National Irish Bank and ordered to remove a substantial amount of cash.

He then travelled to the Stiles Road in Clontarf with the gang.

The money was collected there and a red Peugeot 206 car was abandoned at the scene by the gang.

The family were traumatised but uninjured. They were interviewed for several hours last night by gardaí.
