A 20-year-old woman was charged at Ardee District Court this evening with the murder of a 19-year-old woman in Laytown, Co Meath, last night.
Kelly Noble was remanded to Mountjoy Prison to appear at Dundalk District Court next Wednesday, 7 June.
The victim has been named locally as Emma McLoughlin, a mother of two.
She was attacked at the main square in the seaside town.
Earlier, flowers and a card from the death woman's children were laid at the scene.
