The Director of Public Prosecutions has said the State will not be bringing any prosecutions relating to the deaths of two men shot dead by gardaí during a foiled robbery in Lusk last year.
Eric Hopkins and Colin Griffin were shot as they attempted an armed robbery of a post office on 26 May.
The DPP's decision not to prosecute in relation to the deaths was made known at an inquest hearing into the deaths at the Dublin Coroner's Court. The inquest was adjourned until 13 June.
Separate prosecutions are being brought in relation to the attempted robbery itself.
