The British glam-rock star, Gary Glitter, has been sentenced to three years in jail after a Vietnamese court found him guilty of sexually abusing two young girls.
The jury found that the 61-year-old, whose real name is Paul Gadd, had molested the girls, aged 11 and 12, in the resort town of Vung Tau.
Glitter was also ordered to pay compensation to the families of his victims.
Speaking after the verdict, he claimed he was innocent and the sentence was part of a 'conspiracy'.
