17 people are being held following a police raid on a pub in the Tigers Bay area of north Belfast last night.
Reports suggest several senior Ulster Defence Association members were among those arrested in the raid on the Alexander Bar.
Police fired CS gas rounds through the windows of the bar while the paramilitary group was reported to be rehearsing a show of strength planned for tonight.
