The Taoiseach is to meet the British prime minister, Tony Blair, in London next week as the two governments finalise proposals for the restoration of devolved government at Stormont.
A series of meetings since January with Northern Ireland’s political parties has made no substantial progress and the two governments are now of the view that decisions are required.
The Taoiseach is to meet the Sinn Féin leadership in Dublin tomorrow and an SDLP delegation on Thursday.
