The High Court has ordered the temporary release of a Nigerian mother-of-two who is facing deportation from Ireland.
Pamela Izevbekhai is challenging a deportation order issued against her by the Department of Justice in November.
A judicial review of review of the deportation order is expected within the next few weeks.
Mrs Justice Finlay Geoghan also granted four weeks to allow for affidavits to be exchanged.
The judge said that while she acknowledged fears on the part of the gardaí that Ms Izevbekhai would flee the country, she said that these concerns were not enough to outweigh the needs of her two children.
Ms Izevbekhai has not seen her children since 8 December when she went into hiding.
Her two daughters, Jemima aged 3 and Naomi aged 5, are currently in foster care.
