Members of the Yeats family have handed over a selection of precious treasures connected to poet WB Yeats on loan to the National Library of Ireland.
They will be used in a forthcoming large scale exhibition on Yeats, due to begin in May.
The 20 items include portraits, embroidery, posters, a passport, a Japanese sword and a silver cup.
The library already holds the largest collection of Yeats' documents and manuscripts in the world, many of which were donated by his family over the years since his death.
It also has the personal library of books owned and used by him, comprising some 3,000 volumes.
WB Yeats' son Michael said the family were delighted about being able to contribute to the exhibition and played tribute to the library for putting it on.
In return, the Director of the National Library, Aongus O’hAonghusa has thanked the Yeats family for their generosity.
