Two men have appeared at Kells District Court charged in connection with the discovery of cocaine with a potential street value of €2.6 million.
The drugs were found during a raid by members of the Garda National Drugs Unit assisted by local detectives at a house at Maynooth in Co Kildare.
Wayne Whelan, 28, of Rowlagh Gardens in Clondalkin, and Martin Walsh, 35, of the Moorings Estate, Roberstown in Co Kildare, were both charged with possessing cocaine for sale or supply.
Both were remanded in custody with consent to bail to appear again at Kells District Court next Thursday.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man has appeared at Dublin District Court charged in connection with the seizure of cocaine with an estimated street value of €120,000.
Anthony Swift of Moynihan Court in Tallaght was arrested by members of the Store Street Drugs Unit yesterday.
He was remanded in custody with consent to bail to appear again at Cloverhill District Court next week.
