A former Co Clare GP, who was struck off the medical register for professional misconduct, has been found guilty of selling prescription-only medicine without a licence.

Pascal Carmody from Killaloe was ordered to pay €11,500 in fines and costs after he was convicted of nine charges.

He also received a ten-month suspended jail sentence.
