US prosecutors are pressing criminal fraud charges against the Canadian-born British media tycoon, Lord Black, who once owned the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
Conrad Black, who is 61, is accused of misappropriating $32 million from Hollinger International, the company that operated his interests. He denies charges of 11 counts of fraud.
US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald announced the indictment after months of investigations into alleged malpractice at what was once one of the world's biggest media groups.
