The editor of the British newspaper The Sun, Rebekah Wade, was arrested early this morning for allegedly assaulting her husband, actor Ross Kemp.
Ms Wade was later released without charge.
Mr Kemp plays the part of Grant Mitchell in the television soap Eastenders.
According to police, the alleged assault against Mr Kemp was reported early this morning at an address in south London.
A spokesman for The Sun said it had no comment to make in relation to the allegation.
