A Co Cork couple who face charges in the US of kidnapping their grandson were arrested yesterday morning.
Tim and Ethel Blake were arrested by gardaí at their home in Cobh on foot of an extradition warrant.
The warrant alleges the couple had committed the offence of kidnapping in that they knowingly and by deceit enticed their grandson, Dylan, to travel to Ireland with them from his home in Chicago in November last year.
The couple appeared before the High Court in Dublin yesterday and were remanded on bail to appear before the court on 11 November.
