The Omagh bombing suspect, Sean Hoey, has been committed for trial in connection with the murders of 29 people, including a mother pregnant with twins, in the 1998 atrocity.
Mr Hoey, 36, from Jonesborough in south Armagh, was told by Belfast magistrate Desmond Perry that after hearing prosecution evidence during a three-day committal, he considered there was a case to answer.
Mr Hoey, who denies the charges, was remanded in custody to appear before Belfast Crown Court at a date to be decided.
He faces a total of 58 charges relating to the Omagh bombing and a range of other attacks carried out by the Real IRA in 1998.
Mr Hoey was brought to Belfast Magistrates Court from Maghaberry Prison where he has been on remand. When asked if he wished to say anything in relation to the charges he shook his head and mouthed the word 'no'.
Also in court today were Michael Gallagher and his wife, and Laurence Rush, who lost relatives in the Omagh bombing.
