The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohamed El Baradei, has said he will issue a new report on Iran's nuclear programme early next month.
He was speaking after the board of the agency adopted an EU resolution calling on Tehran to suspend the nuclear activities it resumed earlier this week.
Iran rejected the resolution, and again denied having a secret plan to develop nuclear weapons.
US President George W Bush, speaking in Texas, welcomed the IAEA decision.
