Police in southern England have said they will take no further action against the former footballer, George Best, over allegations of indecently assaulting a young girl and hitting a woman.
The 59-year-old, who was formerly a striker for Manchester United and Northern Ireland, was questioned for more than nine hours at a police station in Surrey last month.
Mr Best was released on bail and had been due to return to the station tomorrow, but police have since dropped the investigation.
