A Kenyan judge has acquitted three men accused of the 2002 al-Qaeda-linked bombing of an Israeli-owned hotel in the port city of Mombasa.
It brings to seven the number of suspects found not guilty in the attack, with no others on trial in the case.
Nairobi Chief Magistrate Aggrey Muchelule said prosecutors had not proved their case against the three suspects, who had been charged with conspiracy relating to the suicide car bombing of the Mombasa Paradise Hotel on 28 November 2002.
'I have considered the evidence in its totality of the prosecution and defence cases and reached the conclusion that the prosecution has failed beyond a reasonable doubt to prove its case,' he said.
