Police investigating the murder of teenager Mary-Ann Leneghan in Reading, England, have charged a seventh man in connection with the killing.

Joshua Morally, 21, of Balham, south London, was charged with kidnapping and murdering the 16-year-old and attempting to murder her 18-year-old friend, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

He appeared before Reading magistrates today alongside 18-year-old Michael Johnson of Southfields, London, and Myron Hiliaire, also 18, of Balham, who were charged last night.

All three were remanded in custody to appear in court again on 26 May.

Earlier, four other men appeared by video link at Reading Crown Court.

Llewellyn Adams, 23, of Old Hospital Close, Balham; Adrian Thomas, 19, of Battersea and 18-year-old Indrit Krasniqi of Chiswick, west London, appeared before Mr Justice Nelson at the crown court charged with murder, attempted murder and kidnap.

Jamaile Morally, 21, of Balham, appeared alongside them, and was charged with murder, attempted murder, kidnap and rape.

All four had already been remanded in custody.

Mary-Ann and her friend were abducted by a gang of up to six men on the night of 6 May in Reading.

After a terrifying and violent ordeal, including sexual assaults, the pair were taken to Prospect Park in the town where Mary-Ann was stabbed to death early on the morning of Saturday 7 May.

But her friend survived being shot in the head and managed to call for help.
