A 57-year-old man has appeared before Dublin District Court charged with the murder of a woman in Inchicore.
Mary Hannon was found dead at an apartment in Hampton Court yesterday. It is believed the 65-year-old had suffered a number of stab wounds.
Martin Kineavy, with an address at Hampton Court, was remanded in custody and will appear at Cloverhill District Court on 29 April.
Meanwhile, gardaí have named the 58-year-old man who was found dead in his flat in Dublin's north inner city on Thursday.
Detectives say Ben Carolan died from injuries sustained during a violent struggle.
His body was discovered in his flat in St George's Place.
