New research by scientists in Denmark indicates that using a mobile phone does not increase the risk of developing a brain tumour.

The study by the Danish cancer society involved interviews with over 1,000 people, about a third of whom were suffering from brain tumours.

However, the authors say long-term information is still needed to establish for certain whether mobiles cause any ill health.

They also recommend that people use hands-free kits to reduce the amount of radiation entering the brain.
