Gardaí have established that the body discovered in a burned out caravan in a field in Co Clare on Friday afternoon is that of a young woman.
Her identity is not yet known and gardaí say they are keeping an open mind about the cause of her death.
The results of a post mortem examination failed to establish the exact cause of death and further tests are to be carried out.
Gardaí say the caravan, in which the body was found, had been occupied intermittently in recent years.
The area in Ballybornagh, between Tubber and Kinvarra, remains sealed off pending further technical examination.
Gardai are asking anyone who was in the area between 10am and 4pm on Friday, and may have information which can help their inquiries, to contact them.
