Police in the North say a 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Robert McCartney.
It is understood the man went to a police station at lunchtime, accompanied by a solicitor.
33-year-old father of two Robert McCartney was stabbed following a row at a bar near Belfast city centre nine weeks ago.
His family has blamed IRA members for his murder and intimidating witnesses.
