Around 200 workers from the GAMA Construction company gathered at the Spire on O'Connell Street in Dublin city centre this morning to protest over pay rates.

At 10am the workers, who were joined by Socialist Party TD Joe Higgins, began a march to Leinster House and on to Liberty Hall.

The workers are employed on various sites in Dublin.

GAMA Construction is currently under investigation by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment following claims of below minimum-wage payments and wage fraud.

Last week, four former employees of GAMA Construction discovered that they have bank accounts in Holland that they were unaware of.
