Co Monaghan man Dermot Laide will not be taking an appeal against the severity of a two-year sentence he is currently serving for violent disorder.
His conviction for the manslaughter of Brian Murphy outside Club Anabel in Dublin was quashed by the Court of Criminal Appeal last month
Mr Laide, from Castleblayney in Co Monaghan, was not in the Court of Criminal Appeal this morning when his case came up for mention.
The Court fixed 5 April to deal with outstanding administrative matters in relation to the case.
The Director of Public Prosecutions did not disclose to the court whether he will be pursuing a retrial in the Laide case on the manslaughter charge.
