AIB Bank makes €3.8 million in profit every day, its latest results reveal.
The figures for 2004 show that AIB had the biggest profit for any Irish bank at €1.4 billion.
The company had to pay €50 million to cover the costs of overcharging customers for foreign exchange.
Speaking to RTÉ News, the bank’s chief executive, Michael Buckley, said that the firm had already repaid €15 million of this to its clients.
