One of the men being sued by relatives of victims of the Omagh bombing has lost an appeal against two convictions for membership of the Real IRA.

42-year-old Liam Campbell from Co Louth was sentenced last year on membership charges relating to dates in 2000 and 2001 and was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment with 18 months suspended.

He is one of five men being sued for €10 million in civil damages for the Omagh bombing.

Dismissing his case, the Court of Criminal Appeal said they will give their reasons later.
