Hunting - Supporters lose court action

Hunt supporters in England and Wales have lost their High Court attempt to overturn the ban on hunting with dogs.

The Countryside Alliance had challenged the validity of the 1949 Parliament Act which MPs used to introduce the Hunting Act following opposition from the House of Lords.

The sport is due to be outlawed next month unless the courts find the legislation legally flawed on appeal.
