Customs officials at Dublin Port have seized 3.2 million cigarettes with a potential loss of revenue amounting to €1m.
The Regal, Sovereign and Super King brand cigarettes were in a container originating in Alicante, Spain and were described as ‘pottery and ornaments’.
The container travelled by ferry from Bilbao to Dublin Port.
