The pro-West Serbian President, Boris Tadic, has survived an apparent assassination attempt in the capital, Belgrade, after a car repeatedly tried to run his vehicle off the road.
Mr Tadic was not hurt in the incident.
Security officials in another car in the motorcade prevented a crash by blocking the attacker's black Audi. However, the attacker then escaped.
In March last year, the former Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, an ally of President Tadic, was assassinated by a sniper.
