A man has appeared in court in Derry charged with the murder of a father-of-four in the city on Tuesday evening.

Paul Andrew McGinley, a chef from Shepherd's Glen in the Waterside area of the city, was charged with the murder of his colleague, Tony McNamee.

Mr McNamee, a 37-year-old kitchen assistant, suffered serious head injuries following a fight outside a bar in Dungiven Road.
