Gardaí investigating the murder of Rachel O'Reilly have arrested a man and a woman.
The 30-year-old mother of two was attacked in her home in Naul in north Co Dublin on 4 October.
The man, 34, was arrested in the Ballyfermot area at 10am and is being held at Balbriggan Garda Station.
The 35-year-old woman was arrested in the south city area of Dublin about the same time, and is being held in Drogheda.
Both are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and can be held for up to three days.
They are the first arrests in connection with the murder.
