Cocaine valued at €1.8 billion has been seized by the United States anti-drugs authority in the past two months.
A US Navy frigate that had been at sea since September returned to port in Florida after carrying out five raids on Colombian drug dealers.
Lieutenant Tony Russell, of the US Coastguard, said the seizures brought the total cocaine seized at sea during the past year to 110 tons, worth approximately €6 billion euro.
