The Taoiseach met Geraldine Finucane the widow of murder Belfast solicitor, Pat Finucane, and other family members earlier.
He re-iterated the Government's support for the holding of a public inquiry into Mr Finucane's murder in fulfilment of the commitment given at Weston Park and as recommended by Judge Cory.
The Government has been urging the British authorities to hold a public inquiry into Mr Finucane's murder 15 years ago as recommended by Judge Peter Cory.
It is understood the British Government is to publish its proposals on an inquiry next month.
