Further racist attacks reported in NI

Members of the Turkish and Indian communities have become the latest victims of racial attacks in Northern Ireland.

Police are trying to trace a gang responsible for damaging cars and daubing racist slogans on homes in Comber, Co Down.

In the first incident, at around 3.30am this morning, a brick was thrown through the rear window of a Renault Megane car parked outside a house in Charles Way and offensive graffiti was daubed on the front.

In the other incident, a brick was thrown through the window of a Ford Escort car and graffiti was also painted on a house in Lower Crescent.

Police in Newtownards said they believed the same people carried out both attacks. They appealed for information from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in both areas.
