An eight strong syndicate from Ballyfermot in Dublin has claimed the weekend lotto jackpot of almost €7m.
The syndicate, from Merops Nutrition, a pet food company in Ballymount, had been doing the lotto for the past eight years.
The windfall was only discovered last night as the syndicate leader checked the weekend tickets.
It was the fifth largest jackpot in the history of the lottery.
