The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse was adjourned for 15 minutes this morning following interruptions from former pupils of St Joseph’s Industrial School at Ferryhouse near Clonmel in Tipperary.
The chairman of the inquiry, Mr Justice Seán Ryan, described the interruptions as unacceptable.
He said that if witnesses at the hearing were not shown proper respect then the hearings would have to proceed in private.
The hearing resumed shortly after the interruption.
