Family dispute over drinks firm in court

A case arising from a bitter family dispute over the ownership of the multi-million euro Coman's pub and drinks business in Dublin opened in the High Court today.

The court is being asked to resolve the exact nature of an agreement reached last year between parents and founders of the business, Patrick and Mary Coman, and five of their six sons.

The court will have to decide who is entitled to the ownership of the business which is worth over €13 million and employs over 90 people.
