An Iranian court has abruptly ended the trial of an intelligence agent accused of killing a Canadian journalist.
Lawyers representing Zahra Kazemi said the hearing was a farce and refused to sign the record of proceedings.
The authorities barred diplomats and foreign journalists from attending the second day of the hearing and it is not clear when a verdict will be announced.
Ms Kazemi, who was born in Iran, died of a brain haemorrhage last year after she was held for taking pictures outside a prison.
Her defence team, led by Nobel Peace prizewinner Shirin Ebadi, has accused the authorities of a cover-up.
The trial has deepened the rift between Iran's reformist government and the hardline judiciary, and some diplomats say this latest move is a serious blow to human rights in Iran.
