US Aura probe launch deferred

The US space agency NASA has deferred the launch of a new satellite that is designed to check the health of the Earth's atmosphere.

The three-tonne vehicle, called Aura, is now due to take off on Monday.

It will test whether or not international treaties aimed at repairing the ozone layer are working.

It will also help scientists understand how atmospheric composition affects and responds to the Earth's changing climate.
