The four pubs in Co Cork that were flouting the smoking ban are now complying with the legislation.
 
The owner of Paddy the Farmer's pub in Cork city, Gareth Kendellan, has confirmed that following legal advice and discussions with his family his pub will now be complying with the legislation.

Three other pubs, Ozzie's Bar in Cork city, The Loft in Bantry and Conny Doolin's in Cobh, are also now compliant with the ban.

Fibber Magee's pub in Galway said yesterday that it was ending its defiance of the ban.
