Up to 100,000 people attended the country's biggest free air show at Salthill in Galway today.

German, British and Dutch airforce jets flew along the west coast during this afternoon's display.

There were displays by German Airforce and Navy Tornados, the RAF's Red Arrows flying team and by Irish and Dutch military aircraft and air sea rescue helicopters.

The show is estimated to be worth over one million euro to Galway.
