A petty thief has told the Morris Tribunal how he blamed Frank McBrearty jnr for the murder of Richie Barron because otherwise he felt he would be blamed himself.
The Raphoe cattle-dealer, Richie Barron, was killed in a hit and run in October 1996.
Paul ‘Gazza’ Gallagher, aged 29, told the tribunal that when he was interviewed in Mountjoy prison, a detective told him either McBrearty would take the blame, or he would.
