A witness in the trial of a garda accused of assaulting a protester at the 2002 Reclaim the Streets march in Dublin has claimed that the battery of his video camera was ripped out by a garda.
Aidan O'Brien, who filmed the event on behalf of Indymedia, was giving evidence in the trial of Garda Paul Tallon of Mountjoy Station, Dublin.
Garda Tallon has pleaded not guilty to assault causing harm to Fergal Leddy on 6 May, 2002.
