Deported family awaiting judicial review

A Nigerian family who were deported from Ireland six weeks ago have been brought back to Ireland for a judicial review of their case.

Felix Olaniran and his wife and their Irish-born baby arrived at Dublin Airport this morning.

They were deported in the middle of the night of 6 April despite obtaining an injunction against the action. Their lawyer argues that the deportation was illegal.

The family were due to come back to Ireland last week but their return was delayed because the Government refused at first to pay for their flight.
