Dismembered body found at house in London

A murder inquiry has been launched in southwest London after the chopped-up remains of a woman were discovered by her father-in-law in a fridge at her home.

The woman's husband, 34-year-old Paul Dalton, is now being sought by police.

Mr Dalton's father found the dismembered remains of his Korean-born daughter-in-law wrapped in plastic bags on the shelves of a fridge at the suburban house in Kingston-upon-Thames.

The police are still awaiting a formal identification of the woman's body.

Mr Dalton is said to have married the victim seven years ago and has a six-year-old daughter, who is reported to be in care.

Neighbours said they last saw Mr Dalton last Saturday and that they had thought his wife had been in Korea over the half-term school holidays.

The family has lived in the three-bedroom Victorian house for the past two years.
