Ryanair has filed an appeal with the European Court of Justice against a European Commission ruling that it benefited from illegal state subsidies from a Belgian airport.
In February, the European Commission ordered the airline to repay millions of euro it received in its contract with Charleroi Airport, south of Brussels.
The deal enabled it to receive discounts on landing fees and ground-handling charges, as well as help for marketing and training costs.
