Archbishop calls for North police reform

The Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All-Ireland, Sean Brady, has urged the British government to go the ‘extra mile’ to reform policing in the North.

Protestants, he said, must accept the full implications of the Good Friday Agreement.

Speaking in London tonight, the primate said Catholics must challenge the actions of armed groups in their community.

Archbishop Brady also said the British government must make several gestures to restore the trust lost by allegations of collusion  between security services and loyalist paramilitaries.
