It has been reported that an FBI informer will be a witness in the Omagh bomb victims' civil case against those suspected of carrying out the Real IRA bombing.
The American David Rupert was a key prosecution witness in the conviction of the alleged Real IRA leader, Michael McKevitt, for directing terrorism in the Special Criminal Court in Dublin last year.
Now he is expected to give evidence against five men suspected of the August 1998 bombing, in a landmark civil action in the High Court in Belfast.
The five are being sued for £10m by the Omagh Victims' Civil Action Group.
A preliminary hearing is due to take place tomorrow.
