Fr Dardis appointed head of Jesuit order

A leading Irish advocate for refugees in Europe, Father John Dardis, has been appointed head of the Jesuit Order in Ireland. 

The 47-year-old Dubliner will succeed Fr Gerry O'Hanlon.

Currently European Regional Director of the Jesuit Refugee Service in Brussels, John Dardis became the first Communications Director in the Archdiocese of Dublin in 1995, a job he held for five years.
